Elevator Pitch: How to Introduce Yourself in 30 Seconds and Create Opportunities
Imagine meeting your ideal client or employer in an elevator, and they smile and ask you:
“What do you do?”
Are you ready for that kind of opportunity?
For the so-called Elevator Pitch?
An Elevator Pitch is a short introduction — 30 to 60 seconds — about who you are, what you do, and what you offer. Its purpose is to quickly capture attention, spark interest, and motivate the other person to take action.
Your ability to explain something SIMPLY is the best indicator of how well you truly understand it.
This ability is part of the well-known 20% in the Pareto Principle, which states that:
🏆20% of effort brings 80% of results
Does that mean the other 80% of effort is wasted?
No.
And you’ll understand why when you try to describe what you do in just a few sentences — in a way that can motivate your client or employer to act.
Creating a few perfect sentences might take you a day — or even several months.
(If you find yourself unable to clearly explain what you do, it may be time to focus on something you CAN explain.)
In reality, most of your time will be spent deciding what NOT TO SAY — what to remove.
In reality, most of your time will be spent deciding what NOT TO SAY — what to remove.
That entire process takes up 80% of your time that doesn’t bring immediate results — BUT LEADS TO THEM, because:
⭐ LUCK HAPPENS WHEN PREPARATION MEETS OPPORTUNITY ⭐
That’s why it seems like some people are luckier in business than others.
Those are the people who clearly know what their 20% is — while the 80% of effort they invested to get there remains unseen.
Consciously define your 20% — in business, life, and relationships.
Prepare yourself for your opportunity by removing everything that no longer serves you.
I za kraj, volela bih da čujem:
What do you do? 🙂
