I don\u2019t want to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember my grandfather asking me:<br>\u201cMilena, can you ever just say YES?\u201d<br>And I replied: \u201cAsk me if I want ice cream.\u201d  \ud83c\udf66<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re a child, adults often insist on things that are not aligned with your nature.<br>Children who don\u2019t dare to say NO often grow into adults who struggle to say it \u2014 both in their personal and professional lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 The good news: NO can be practiced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714\ufe0f Imagine a person you feel you can never say NO to.<br>\u2714\ufe0f Imagine their request.<br>\u2714\ufe0f And practice your new, calm response: NO, I DON\u2019T WANT TO, I CAN\u2019T RIGHT NOW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when the question comes:<br>\u201cBut why not?\u201d \u2014 your answer can be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t feel like talking about it right now, but if I do later \u2014 I\u2019ll let you know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are not obligated to justify yourself immediately \u2014 or ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And DON\u2019T BE AFRAID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your partner won\u2019t leave you.<br>You won\u2019t lose your job.<br>Your mother won\u2019t die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you feel the need to say NO, it is often because someone is asking something unreasonable \u2014 or something they could do\nthemselves.<br>And they know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, NO sometimes comes with a price (just as YES does).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people won\u2019t be comfortable with your change \u2014 including parents, partners, children, or your boss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My experience is:<br>\u2728 No one who is truly right for me has ever walked away because of my NO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At work \u2014 small \u201cno\u2019s\u201d helped me move up the hierarchy.<br>Big NOs led me to change companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But every change, in the long run, meant a better outcome for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you\u2019re going through it, it may feel like you\u2019re \u201cpaying the price of your NO,\u201d but in the end you realize that someone being upset with you\nor people leaving your life is not a loss \u2014 it\u2019s a blessing.<br>For both them and you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The emotion often behind thyroid-related issues is the feeling of being a victim \u2014 of not living your own life, but living for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How you feel is in your hands \u2014 not in someone else\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: The purpose of this post is not to discourage seeking medical help, but to highlight the role of emotional and mental dimensions in\nphysical health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>September, 2025.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kao dete, moje omiljene re\u010di bile su: Ne.
